Who Am I

I’m a 33 year old, native New Yorker. I am fascinated by all design, either natural or man-made. Everything from geology to architecture. If I see something, I want to know how it got there, how it’s made and what purpose it serves.

Game Development

This section is broken into sub-sections that cover the different Game Development tasks that I've mastered over the years.

Game Design

Video game design is the process of designing the content and rules of a video game in the pre-production stage and designing the gameplay, environment, storyline, and characters in the production stage. The designer of a game is very much like the director of a film; the designer is the visionary of the game and controls the artistic and technical elements of the game in fulfilment of their vision. Video game design requires artistic and technical competence as well as writing skills.

Level Design

Level design or Environment Design is a discipline of game development involving the creation of video game levels—locales, stages, or missions. This is commonly done using a level editor, a game development software designed for building levels. Level design is both an artistic and technical process.

Bim and Design

BIM

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital representation of the functional characteristics of a facility. I am currently employed as a BIM Coordinator. My duties require me to construct and position materials/equipment so that they can first be used to harmoniously interlock with other trade’s materials/equipment (Coordinating) and then to be later used as blueprints for the installation. This position requires me to work in a virtual 3D world that has real life scale and precision. As well as conduct meetings either in person or with teams remotely. My graphic design skills then come into play as if create prints and documents for the guys in the field to actually install the material and equipment with the accuracy that I determine.

The tools I use for BIM are Autodesk Revit, Autocad and Navisworks.

I’ve worked on many high profile, nationally recognized landmarks. Such as:

  • WTC Tower One
  • 9-11 Ground Zero Memorial
  • Grand Central Station
  • Madison Square Garden
  • Citi Field
  • United Nations Headquarters
  • Hudson Yards Project

In addition to countless other lower profile projects.
